Ettrick, V.A.– The Winston-Salem State University men's basketball team drops its season opener to East Stroudsburg 105-72, inside the Multipurpose Center.
The Rams moved to (0-1, 0-0 CIAA).
Tyre Boykin led the Rams with 25 points, followed by Ethan English with 14 points and Khyelle Ingram chipped in with 10 points and six rebounds.
How It Happened
In the first half, the Warriors took an early 9-1 lead with a and-one (18;34). The Warriors extended their lead to 18-5 on a jumper (15:05). The Rams went on a 6-0 run, cutting the lead to 18-11 on an Ethan English lay-up (10:59). ESU lead grew to 32-16 on a jumper (7:23). The Warriors took a 47-29 into halftime.
In the second half, the Rams went on a 6-0 run, cutting the lead to 47-35 on a Tyre Boykin jumper (18:27). The Warriors went on a 15-0 run, extending their lead to 62-35 (14:35). ESU made the score 72-42 on a three-pointer (12:15). East Stroudsburg closed out the game up 33 points.
