#1Seed Rams to Play Bowie State in CIAA Tournament Quarterfinals Friday Afternoon

Winston-Salem, N.C. - The Winston-Salem State University volleyball team will play the #4 seed in the North Bowie State University in the CIAA Quarterfinals, on Friday, November 21st, in Bowie, Maryland. The match is set to begin at 4:00 p.m. inside A.C. Jordan Arena.

The Rams swept Fayetteville State 3-0 on Monday, November 10 to clinch the South Division and become the number one seed in the entire tournament.

Winston-Salem State stormed into the postseason on a five-match win streak and shared the South Division crown behind one of the conference's most efficient attacks. The Rams lead the CIAA in hitting percentage (.213) and digs per set (15.46), powered by the dominant play of Holiday Ellis (3.33 kills per set) and Zoe Chesson, who leads all players with a .411 hitting percentage. Setter Celina Johnson and libero Kalyn Cuthbertson (3.88 digs per set) provide tempo and stability.

The Bulldogs fell to Virginia State 3-1 on Monday, November 10th. Nina Edwards leads in kills with 218 and blocks with 92, Makenna Scott leads in assists with 422. Lyric Snowden leads in aces with 33.  Taylor Johnson leads in digs with 344.
