Bowie, M.D.  – The Winston-Salem State University volleyball team season came to an end against Bowie State University as they fell 3-0 to Bowie State in the CIAA quarterfinals Friday night. 

The Rams finished 16-10 (13-4 CIAA) on the season.

In set one, the Rams took a 4-1 lead on a Holiday Ellis kill. The Bulldogs cut the Rams lead down 7-6 with a kill. The Rams went on a 4-0 run, extending their lead to 13-9 on a Bulldogs bad set. BSU went on a 6-1 run, taking a 19-16 lead on a kill. WSSU answered back, cutting the Bulldogs lead to 19-18, on a Zaria Keys kill. A Bulldogs kill made the score 23-19. BSU took set one 25-21.

In set two, the Rams took a 4-2 lead on a Bulldogs bad set. WSSU went on a 3-0 run, extending their lead to 7-4 on an attack error. A Rams attack error tied the game at 9-9. In set three, the Rams took a 5-1 lead on a Holiday Ellis kill. A Aria Caldwell kill extended their lead to 9-5. BSU cut the lead to 11-9 on a Rams attack error. The Bulldogs went on a 5-1 run, taking a 16-15 lead on a Rams attack error. The Rams fought back taking a 18-17, on a Bulldogs attack error. The Bulldogs took a 23-20 lead on a Rams attack error.
