Winston-Salem, N.C.– The Winston-Salem State University men's basketball team dropped a home game to Barton College 77-64, inside the C.E. Gaines Center.
The Rams moved to (1-4, 0-0 CIAA).
Tyre Boykin led the Rams with 21 points, followed by Masaun Moore-Byrant with 11 points and Abou Carmara chipped in with a double-double 10 points and 16 rebounds.

Barton went on a 5-0 run, extending their lead to 27-22 on two free-throws (4:55). A Bryson Cowan jumper cut the score to 27-26 (4:02). A Barton jumper gave them a 37-32 lead (!;43). A Ethan English jumper made the score 37-36 with 29 seconds left in the half.
In the second half, Barton went on a 5-0 run taking a 42-36 lead (17:49). A Abou Carmara dunk cut the lead to 42-40 (16:37). A Tyre Boykin lay-up gave the Rams a 47-46 lead (13:43).
