FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.– The Winston-Salem State University men's basketball team drops road game to Fayetteville State 73-56, inside the Felton J. Capel Arena.
The Rams moved to (3-21, 0-13 CIAA, 0-8 South) on the season.
Tyre Boykin led the Rams with 20 points, followed by
Jeremy Dixon with 10 points and eight rebounds.
How It Happened
In the first half, the Rams took a 9-0 lead on a
Tyre Boykin jumper (14:46). The Broncos went on a 13-2 run, taking a 13-11 lead (11:17). The Rams answered back with a 6-0 run, on a
Micah Jones lay-up (9:36). FSU went on a 16-0 run, giving the Broncos a 29-17 lead (4:16). The Broncos took a 40-24 lead into halftime.
In the second half, the Rams cut the lead to 43-30 on a
Tyre Boykin jumper (16:15). The Broncos went on a 6-0 run, extending their lead to 49-30 (15:23). FSU extended their lead to 62-37 (6:09). The Rams went on a 6-0 run, cutting the score to 64-49 on a
Micah Jones lay-up (2:48) but FSU pulled away.
