WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.– The Winston-Salem State University men's basketball team defeated Livingstone College 77-71, inside the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
The Rams finished (5-21, 2-13 CIAA, 2-8 South) in the regular season.
Tyre Boykin led the Rams with 18 points, followed by
Jaiden Thompson with 12 points and eight rebounds,
Masaun Moore-Bryant with 11 points and
Khyelle Ingram chipped in with 10 points.

The Rams went 22-of-58 from the field, 9-of-29 from three, and 24-of-31 from the free-throw line. The Rams grabbed 41 rebounds, scored 18 points in the paint, and 18 fast break points.

In the first half,
Jaiden Thompson got the Rams on the board with a three-pointer 3-0 (18:34). LC went on a 7-1 run, taking a 18-14 lead (10:51). A
Lance Gill dunk tied the game 18-18 (9:56). The Rams went on a 7-0, giving them a 30-24 lead on a
Tyre Boykin free-throw (3:02). The Rams took a 36-30 lead into halftime.
In the second half, the Rams went on a 7-2 run pushing their lead to 43-32 on
Jeremy Dixon lay-up (16:45). The Rams extended their lead to 50-35, on a
Jeremy Dixon free-throw (16:11). LC went on a 15-5 run, cutting the lead down to 55-50 (9;53).
Lance Gill hit a three-pointer, making the score 58-50 (9;28). LC went on a 13-5 run, trying the game at 63-63 (3:41). A
Tyre Boykin jumper gave the Rams a 67-63 lead (2:53). Two
Masaun Moore-Bryant free-throws extended the Rams lead to 75-69, with 16 seconds remaining in the game.
