WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.– The Winston-Salem State University men's basketball team fell to Bluefield State University 98-78, inside the C.E. Gaines Center.
The Rams moved to (3-18, 0-10 CIAA, 0-5 South) on the season.
Tyre Boykin led the Rams with 20 points, followed by
Lance Gill and
Micah Jones with 11 points each.

The Rams went 29-of-60 from the field, 8-of-16 from three, 12-of-19 from the free-throw line. The Rams grabbed 27 rebounds, 40 points in the paint, and 14 points off turnovers.
How It Happened
In the first half, a
Lance Gill three-pointer gave the Rams an early 8-5 lead (17:35). The Big Blue went on a 10-0 run, taking a 15-8 lead. BSU extended their lead to 35-22 (7:46). BSU took a 59-38 lead into halftime.
In the second half, the Rams went on an 8-2 run, cutting the score 61-46 on a
Lance Gill lay-up (17:23). A
Jeremy Dixon lay-up made the score 69-56 (13:01). A
Tyre Boykin basket cut the BSU lead to 77-67 on a three-pointer (8:03). The Big Blue finished the game up 20.
