ORANGEBURG, S.C.– The Winston-Salem State University men's basketball team suffers a tough loss to Claflin University 73-63, inside the Tullis Arena.
The Rams moved to (3-19, 0-11 CIAA, 0-6 South) on the season.
Micah Jones led the Rams with 13 points, followed by
Lance Gill with 11 points.

How It Happened
In the first half,
Micah Jones got the Rams on the board with a three-pointer (19:37). The Panthers went on a 9-0 run, giving them a 15-8 lead (14:19).
Lance Gill hit a three-pointer, cutting the score to 17-11 (13:13). Claflin extended their lead to 29-20 (8:41). Claflin increased their lead to 36-22 (5:44). The Panthers took a 41-22 lead into halftime.
In the second half,
Micah Jones cut the lead 46-32 on a three-pointer (16:17). Claflin pushed the lead to 54-34 (13:20). The Rams went on a 10-2 run, trimming the score 56-43 on two Masaun Moore-Byrant free-throws (8:03). The Panthers went on an 8-3 run, giving them a 64-46 lead (7:17).
Abou Camara cut the lead down 68-58 on a lay-up (2:28).
Micah Jones hit a three-pointer, making the score 70-61 with 1:56 left in the game.
