CARY, N.C. – The Winston-Salem State University women's tennis team came up short to Division I opponent North Carolina Central on Saturday morning.
The Rams fought hard and showed great strides for the upcoming matches.

In doubles, Semmie Moore and Iyana Nickens paired up to take on the Eagles Alejanda Hidalgo and Valeria San Miguel. The Eagles took the match 6-2. In the other doubles, Brooke Higgins and Briana Drew partnered to take on Mariana Zottoli and Patricia Palencia. The Eagles took that 6-0.

NC Central won all the singles matches and the order of finish was 2,4, 5, 3, 1.

WSSU will be back in action on Sunday, February 16 at Lees-McRae College for a 2:00 pm match in Banner Elk, North Carolina.
