LELAND, N.C. – The Winston-Salem State University men's golf team finished in seventh place at the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) championships at the Magnolia Green Golf Course.
Bluefield State captured first with a total score of 905 followed by Fayetteville State (910) and Virgina Union (929). Virginia State finished in fourth (930), Livingstone came in fifth (932), JCSU in sixth (940) and Elizabeth City in eighth (1122).
Zach Groce had the highest finish for the Rams finishing in 11th place with a total of 231.
Godfrey Nsubuga who was named to the All-Conference team finished in 13th with a total of 233. He was named to the All-Tournament team after having a combined 374 strokes. He is the first Ram to be named since Josh Vogler in 2006.
Austin Rickard tied for 29th (245),
Kaden Rogers finished in 34th (256), and
Ahmad Raoul finished 35th (260).
