Softball Falls to Claflin in Doubleheader, Seeded Second in CIAA Championships Division

ORANGEBURG, S.C. – The Winston-Salem State University softball team fell to Claflin 11-3 and 10-9 in the doubleheader twin bill on Saturday afternoon.

The Rams are now (18-10, 11-5 CIAA).

After the games the CIAA listed the top eight teams to participate in the tournament. The Rams are #2 in the South, behind Claflin, Fayetteville is third and Shaw came in fourth. On the North side you have #1 Bowie State, #2 Virginia State, #3 Lincoln (Pa) and #4 Elizabeth City State University.

Winston will open the tournament on Thursday, May 1 against Lincoln (Pa) at 10:00 am.
