Winston-Salem, N.C– The Winston-Salem State University men's basketball team bounced back against Elizabeth City State University 63-57 inside the C.E. Gaines Center.

 The Rams improved to (7-6, 2-2 CIAA).

Tyre Boykin led the Rams with 18 points, followed by Khyelle Ingram with 16 points, and Abou Camara chipped in with a double-double of 13 points and 13 rebounds.

The Rams went 24-of-55 from the field, 1-of-9 from three, and 14-of-20 from the free-throw line. The Rams grabbed 43 rebounds, scored 36 points in the paint, and 30 bench points. 

How It Happened 
In the first half, an Isaiah Ray jumper gave the Rams an early 4-0 lead (18:28). WSSU went on a 6-0 run, extending their lead to 10-5 on an Abou Camara hook shot (12:26). ECSU went on a 6-2 run, cutting the lead down to 12-11 on a jumper (9:33). WSSU went on a 6-1 run, extending their lead to 18-12 on an Isaiah Ray lay-up (5:09). The Vikings went on an 8-3 run, trimming the Rams lead to 21-20 on a lay-up (1:59). A Tyre Boykin jumper made the score 27-21 as time expired going into halftime. 

In the second half, the Rams went on a 6-0 run, taking a 33-21 lead on an Isaiah Ray lay-up (17:41). A Khyelle Ingram lay-up made the score 37-23 (11:30). The Vikings cut the lead down to 41-33 on a three-pointer (8:47). A Tyre Boykin three-pointer made the score 48-38 (6:19) ECSU went on a 10-1 run, cutting the lead to 55-54 on a lay-up (1:05). Two Tyre Boykin free-throws gave the Rams a 59-54 with 21 seconds left. A Tyre Boykin free-throw sealed the game 63-57 with two seconds remaining.
