Raleigh, N.C– The Winston-Salem State University men's basketball team fell to Shaw University 85-69 inside the C.C. Spaulding Gymnasium.
The Rams moved to (7-8, 2-4 CIAA, 0-1 South).
Tyre Boykin led the Rams with 19 points, followed by
Khyelle Ingram with 16 points, and Masaun Byrant chipped in 12 points.

How It Happened
In the first half, the Bears took an 8-4 lead on a three-pointer (16:32). Shaw extended their lead to 12-6 on an and-one (15:44). WSSU went on an 8-3 run, cutting the Shaw lead to 20-19 on an
Isaiah Sutherland lay-up (8:40).
Tyre Boykin hit a huge three-pointer, giving the Rams a 29-28 lead (4:23). Shaw closed out the half on an 8-0 run, taking a 36-29 lead into halftime.
In the second half, the Bears went on a 6-0 run, extending their lead to 42-29 on a three-pointer (19:21). The Rams went on an 8-3 run, cutting the lead to 45-37 on two Masaun Byrant free-throws (14:58). Shaw went on a 7-2 run, growing their lead to 52-39 on lay-up (13:03). The Bears lead grew to 73-51 on a dunk (5:13). WSSU couldn't cut the deficit under 15 points.
