Orangeburg, S.C– The Winston-Salem State University men's basketball team fell to Claflin University 74-65 inside the Tullis Arena.
The Rams moved to (7-9, 2-4 CIAA, 0-2 South).
Masaun Bryant led the Rams with 19 points, followed by Tyre Boykin with 13 points.

How It Happened
In the first half, the Rams took a 5-0 lead on a Demetri Patterson jumper (18:33). Claflin went on a 11-0 run, taking a 11-5 lead on a lay-up (14:43). WSSU went on a 5-0 run, cutting the lead to 11-10 on a Isaish Sutherland three-pointer (13:45). The Panthers went on a 16-3 run, extending their lead to 27-13 on a lay-up (9:56). Claflin outscored the Rams 21-15 taking a 48-28 into halftime.
In the second half, the Panthers went on a 10-0 extending their lead to 58-38 on a free-throw (17:32). . The Rams answered back with a 19-2 run, cutting the lead to 60-47 on a Khyelle Ingram jumper (10:37). Claflin went on a 11-4 run, taking a 71-51 lead on a lay-up (4:59). The Rams closed the game out on a 14-3 run, but couldn't cut the deficit under five points.
