WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Winston-Salem State University men's basketball team fell to Livingstone College 85-82 in overtime inside the C.E. Gaines Center.
The Rams move to 7-14 (2-10 CIAA, 0-5 CIAA) on the season.

LC opened the game on a 7-0 run. WSSU came within three trailing 7-4 at the under 16-minute media timeout.
Tyre Boykin hit a three to tie the game 7-7 with 14:24 to play in the first half.
Lance Gill gave the Rams its first lead of the night, 10-7 with 13:45 remaining in the half. WSSU took a 14-8 lead to force the Blue Bears to call timeout with 11:56 to play the first half. The Rams led 35-23 with 3:47 to play in the first half. WSSU went into halftime leading 41-32.
Winston led 54-45 with 14:24 remaining in the game. The Blue Bears cut into the Rams lead 58-53 with 9:48 to play in the game. The game was tied at 63-all with under six minutes to play.
Tyre Boykin hit a three with 4:30 to play to give the Rams a 66-63 lead, but Livingstone answered back with a three to tie the game back.
Abou Camara made a free throw and
Lance Gill hit a three to put the Rams up by four, 70-66 (3:17). Livingstone hit a three to tie the game at 72-all with under a minute in the game.
Jaiden Thompson was fouled and made one free throw to give the Rams a 73-72 lead with 30 seconds left. Livingstone hit a three-pointer to take a 75-73 lead with 16 seconds left.
Lance Gill hit the tying lay-up to send the game into overtime. Livingstone hit the go-ahead three to win the game 85-82.
WSSU will be back in action on Thursday, February 12 hosting Claflin University at 7:30 p.m. inside the C.E. Gaines Center.
