2022-2023:  Jaylon was ranked eighth in the CIAA averaging 13.5 points per game and ninth in rebounding at 6.5 rebounds per game. For week five, Jaylon was named the CIAA Player of the Week after scoring 25 points in the victory over Clark Atlanta. He also had 11 rebounds and shot 9-of-14 from the field. For week 12, He was named CIAA Defensive Player of the Week after blocking 1 shot and grabbing 8 rebounds (five defensive). For week 13, Jaylon Gibson was named CIAA Defensive Player of the Week after blocking four shots and grabbing eight rebounds ( four defensive) in an overtime win against St. Augustine's. Offensively, he finished with 17 points. His incredible performance this year led him to being selected to All CIAA Frontcourt team. Also Gibson was selected to the All CIAA tournament team.

2020-21 – Freshman Season (N.C. State): Appeared in 17 games… Made collegiate debut in season-opener against Charleston Southern, playing nine minutes, scoring two points, and grabbing a season-high five rebounds … Scored a season-high five points in win over UMass-Lowell … Played a season-high 11 minutes at Florida State … recorded blocked shot against Charleston Southern and Florida State.

Before State: Ranked as one of top seniors in North Carolina … Played for Grace Christian School in Cary as a junior and senior … Averaged 16 points and 11 rebounds as a senior to lead the Eagles to a 21-12 record … Led team to second round of 3A NCISAA state playoffs … Averaged 15.1 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.7 blocks per game, while shooting 64 percent from the floor as a junior … played for Apex High School as a sophomore … played AAU Basketball for UC27 Carolina DreamChasers and Team Wall Elite.
