RALEIGH, NC - The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (7-9, 3-0 CIAA) opened Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) on a high note with a perfect 3-0 record as the team won three games at the 2011 CIAA Softball Round Up. The Lady Rams finished the day with wins over Saint Paul's, Bowie State, and Virginia Union to open CIAA play with a perfect 3-0 record.

The Lady Rams opened the day with a 13-2 win over the Saint Paul's Lady Tigers, followed by a 5-0 win over the Bowie State Lady Bulldogs, and closed the day with an 11-3 win over the Virginia Union Lady Panthers.

The Lady Rams will return to action on Sunday when the team competes on the second day of the CIAA Round Up. The Lady Rams will take on Lincoln (Pa.), defending champion Chowan, and Elizabeth City State.
