Box Score MARS HILL, NC – The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (13-15) struggled offensively in a tough 9-1 loss to the Mars Hill Lions (18-14), Wednesday afternoon. The loss came due to an offensive struggle for the Lady Rams, who managed just two hits in the game.
After allowing four unanswered runs to the Lions in the first two innings of the game, the Lady Rams scored their sole run of the game in the fourth inning when junior catcher Nikki Lynch scored on a Mars Hill fielding error. After the score, the Lady Rams allowed five more runs to the Lions to end the day with the five-inning loss.
Sophomore infielder Andreya O'Brien and junior pitcher Brittany Lane were the only Lady Rams to record hits in the game.
