Box Score WINSTON-SALEM, NC – The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (0-2) continue to struggle early this season as the team took a hard-fought three-set loss to the Kutztown Bears (2-1) on the second day of the inaugural Al Roseboro Invitational Tournament.
The Lady Rams took the loss in spite of a strong overall effort by the Lady Rams. As a team, the Lady Rams totaled a solid 28 kills, but the team was hampered by 20 hitting errors. The team also struggled with nine receiving errors in the match. Senior outside hitter Jenna Baranowski led the way for the Lady Rams with seven kills and five digs. Junior libero Katie McDaniels also added five digs, in spite of playing in just two of the three sets.
