CHARLOTTE, NC – Winston-Salem State University sophomore Alleigh Himes was named the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Food Lion Defensive Player of the Week after a stellar defensive performance last week for the Rams. 

Himes earned the honor after some great defensive play in a doubleheader against the Salem (W.Va.) Tigers. She finished the week with 13 putouts and caught two runners stealing against the Tigers.
