CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Winston-Salem State University men's and women's teams spent Friday afternoon competing at the Royal Cross Country Challenge hosted by Queens University in Salisbury, North Carolina.
Overall, the Rams had a great showing at McApline Creek Park.
Vanessa Jones had the highest finish on the women's side running the course with a time of 20:48.6. Not far behind was teammate
Tinasia Davis finishing with a time of 22:01.1.
Jaiyah Nelson ran a time of 23:00.3 and
Wynter Stample finished with a time of 24:01.0.
Zynobia Ugbong finished with a time of 27:54.3 while
Imani Tatum finished with a time of 32:08.2.
On the men's side,
Cecil Hairston, Jr. finished with a time of 34:00.9.
Jaidon Izard ran a time of 36:03.0 and
Isaac Phipps ran a time of 37:23.8. Not far behind him was
Xavier Watkins who finished with a time of 37:52.3 and
Timothy Pittman, Jr ran a time of 42:14.1.
The Rams will be back in action on Tuesday, October 18th competing in the Livingstone Invitational in Salisbury, North Carolina.
