GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Winston-Salem State University women's cross country team captured second place at the Greensboro Invitational Saturday afternoon at Hagan Stone Park.
Vanessa Jones captured first place with a time of 20:30.84.
Wynter Stample had a personal record time of 22:15.14 to finish 10th.
Tinasia Davis had a new personal record finishing with a time of 22:19.30 to finish in 12th.
Jaiyah Nelson also had a new personal record running a time of 22:22.07 to finish in 13th. Right behind was
Raven Ferrell who finished with a time of 22:41.67 to come in 14th.
Zynobia Ugbong also had a personal record running a time of 27:22.09.
On the men's side
Cecil Hairston finished with a time of 33:59.45.
Xavier Watkins ran a personal record time of 34:55.13.
Isaac Phipps finished with a time of 37:21.63.
Timothy Pittman also had a new personal record time of 42:42.82.
The Rams will be back in action October 7 competing in the Royal Cross Country Challenge in Charlotte, North Carolina.
