Box Score 2 Fayetteville, NC – The Winston-Salem State University softball team splits with Fayetteville State University in early week action on Tuesday, April 25th in Fayetteville, NC.
The Rams moved to 18-10 (11-3 CIAA), while FSU moved to 15-16 (10-4 CIAA).

How it Happened – Game 1
The Rams jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first, after a lead-off homerun from
Aniyah Jackson. The Rams extended their lead in the top of the second after a RBI from
Tymiah Wimbush.
Taisha Bratton broke the game open after a two-run home run in the top of the fourth to make the score 7-0. The Broncos scored two in the bottom of the fourth. In the top of the fifth, the Rams added three more runs to make the final score 10-2.
Julie Manners is the winning pitcher after pitching 4.0 innings and striking out three. She improved to 2-1 on the season.
How it Happened – Game 2
The Broncos jump to a 1-0 lead after the first inning.
Alycia Cunningham ties the game at 1-1 after a home run in the top of the fourth. The Broncos took the lead right back in the bottom of the fifth after a wild pitch to make the score 2-1. WSSU couldn't push across any more runs and lost 2-1.
Alicia Carrington was the losing pitcher going 6.0 inning making her 6-4 on the season.
