SANDFORD, NC – The Winston-Salem State University golf team finished in second place at the Rodeo at the Ridge tournament at the Quail Ridge Golf Course in Sandford, North Carolina.
Sandhills Community College claimed the title after posting a three-round total of +16.
The Rams finished behind Sandhills at +31, Bluefield State came in at third +40, followed by Chowan at +49 and host Fayetteville State at +54.
Godfrey Nsubuga was named to the All-Tournament team posting a +2 overall.
As a team, WSSU had a score of +31 (R1 +10, R2 +4, R3 +17).
Cameron Lutterloh tied for 12th place (+7), while Tanner Frye tied for 16th (+10).
Connor Lineberry finished in 30th place with a score of +16 and Chase McLaughin came in 36 (+22).
WSSU will conclude its fall schedule on October 5-7 at the Windy City Classic Invite in Chicago, Illinois.
