Final Stats

WINSTON-SALEM, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams women's tennis team defeated the Lady Vikings of Elizabeth City State University on Friday afternoon at the WSSU Tennis Complex by the score of 6-3 as WSSU pulled to .500 on the season at 5-5 overall (4-4 CIAA).

The Lady Rams earned four of the six possible singles points as they earned victories at the first, third, fourth and fifth singles flights to pull ahead of the visiting Lady Vikings early by the score of 4-2.

WSSU wrapped up the match as they earned two of a possible three doubles points en route to the 6-3 win.

With the victory, the Lady Rams improve to 5-5 overall and move to 4-4 in the CIAA.  The Lady Rams return to action on March 28, 2006 at 2:30 pm as they play host to North Carolina Wesleyan at the WSSU Tennis Complex.
