WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Four student-athletes from the Winston-Salem State University women's tennis team have been named to the 2025-2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® team.
Selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizing the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's tennis honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Iyana Barber, Briana Brew and McKinely Battle were named to the team.
Kyla Burns, a senior from Las Vegas, Nevada is majoring in exercise science.
Iyana Barber is junior from Powder Springs, Georgia majoring mass communications,
Briana Drew is a senior from Winterville, North Carolina majoring in biology and McKinley Battle is a sophomore from Nashville, North Carolina majoring in pre exercise science.
Battle and Burns were also named to the All-CIAA team.
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot and for WSSU that also includes McKinley Battle.
Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members.
First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 2, 2026. The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.
The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
