GAME NOTES
• Today's game marks the ninth meeting between the two teams all-time. WSSU has won all nine meetings. The Rams are 8-0 against Washginton Adventist as their institution's previous name (Columbia Union College), and 1-0 since the institution's name change to Washington Adventist University.
WINSTON-SALEM STATE NOTES
• The win moves the Rams to 3-8 on the season and snaps Winston-Salem State's four-game losing streak. The last Rams' win came on Nov. 30 when they defeated Milligan 85-59.
• WSSU junior forward Paul Davis recorded his third double-double of the season with 15 points and 15 rebounds.
• WSSU head coach Bobby Collins improves to 93-129 all-time and moves to 28-72 at WSSU. Collins also improves his record versus Columbia Union/Washington Adventist to 4-0 all-time.
• The Rams return to action on January 9 in Dover, Del. as they face the Hornets of Delaware State University.
• WSSU's 60 rebounds is a season high for the Rams. It is also a rebounding high in the Bobby Collins' coaching era at WSSU.
• WSSU is now 3-1 at home. The Rams earned wins over Atlanta Christian, Milligan and Washington Adventist and has fallen to only South Carolina State at home.
• The Rams have scored over 85 points in all three of their wins. They scored 94 points in a win over Atlanta Christian; scored 85 points in a win over Milligan and scored 94 points tonight in a win over Washington Adventist.
WASHINGTON ADVENTIST NOTES
• Washington Adventist falls to 2-9 on the season and has now lost three consecutive games. The Shock also lost last night to Pfeiffer 115-94 in Misenheimer, N.C. WAU is playing their second game in as many nights tonight against the Rams.
• Calvin Dunbar's career record now falls to 20-149 overall in his seventh season at Washington Adventist University.
• The Shock hit only six of 36 first-half field goals for a shooting percentage of 16.7 percent. WAU turned in only a 27.7 percent shooting display for the game.
• WAU is a Division II institution and is a DII independent. The institution is located in Takoma Park, Maryland.
