Lady Rams Pick Up 7-2 Win Over Barton

WINSTON-SALEM, NC - The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (7-1) picked up their seventh straight win as the team took a 7-2 win over the Barton Lady Bulldogs (2-5), Monday afternoon. The Lady Rams took all three doubles points and went 4-2 in singles play to pick up the big non-conference win.

WSSU sophomore Kayla Carter led the way for the Lady Rams as she joined fellow sophomore Kalin Jarvis to take an 8-5 doubles win and took a 6-2, 6-2 singles win to lead the Lady Rams to the win. Sophomore Bianka Locklear battled her way to a 4-6, 6-3, 10-7 win.

With the win, the Lady Rams improve to 7-1 and will get a bit of a break as they return to action on March 26th to return to conference play at the CIAA Round-Up in Petersburg, Va.
