Lady Rams Tennis Rolls to 7-0 Win vs. Elizabeth City State to Open 2011 CIAA Tournament

PETERSBURG, VA - The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (25-1) opened the 2011 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Tournament with a bang as the team took a 7-0 win over the Elizabeth City State Lady Vikings (6-11), Thursday afternoon at the Virginia State University Tennis Complex.

The Lady Rams gave a tremendous defensive effort to take the win as the team didn't allow a single set win in the 7-0 victory. The team opened the match with three straight 8-0 wins in doubles play, followed by four 6-0, 6-0 singles wins.
