WSSU Collegiate Invitational Information & Schedule 

WINSTON-SALEM, NC – For the first time in over 30 years, the Winston-Salem State University track & field teams will play hosts at the 2012 Winston-Salem State University Collegiate Invitational Track & Field Meet, Friday and Saturday.  The meet will be the first meet held at the Civitan Park/Winston-Salem State University Track & Facility since its construction.

There will be several quality teams at the meet, including several teams from the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA), the Southern Conference (SoCon), the South Atlantic Conference (SAC), and a host of others. The meet will consist of a number of exciting events, including a decathlon, a heptathlon, and a pole vault. The Rams and Lady Rams are primed for a number of quality performances on their home facility as NCAA Division II Indoor All-Americans Michael Neal, Shanika Lamons, and the Lady Rams 4x100m relay team hit the track in front of a home crowd.

The meet will begin Friday at 1:00 p.m. with the decathlon and heptathlon events. The meet will continue on Saturday morning with a 9:30 a.m. start. Admission to the meet is free.
