ATLANTA - The Winston-Salem State University women's track and field team has great outing at Morehouse Relays 
WSSU finished the two-day meet with a total score of 172.

Highlights include Rainn Sheppard finishing first in the 800m (2:10.12), also teammate Elicia Byrant finished in 3rd place (2:16.68). Asheika Smith finished in 4th place in the 400m with a time of 57.61. 
 
How it Happened
• Two more Rams finished in the top 10 in the 800m, Ava Millner finished in 7th place (2:21:57) while teammate Kayla Nobles came in 9th (2:22.50), 
•    In the 1500m Ava Millner (4th) and Kayla Nobles (11th) were 5:07.58 and 5:32.56, respectively. 
•    In the 400m, Asheika Smith (4th), Olivia Cosby (6th), Leigh Wills (7th), Simone Kelly (11th) times were 57.61, 58.11, 58.30, and 59.11, respectively.
•    In the 100m hurdles, Charnessa Reid finished third (14.52), Layla Simpson fourth (14.97), and Janelle Codrington sixth (15.27). 
In the 400m hurdles, Jaynissa Cauthen came in second with a time of 1:04.08, while Layla Simpson finished in fourth with a time of 1:06.36, Amiliana Simmons in eighth (1:07.61) and Keianna Mims 17th (1:13.58).
•    The Rams (Olivia Cosby, Rainn Sheppard, Leigh Wills and Asheika Smith) finished first place in the Women's 4x400 Relay with a time of 3:52.02.
Jaynissa Cauthen, Simone Kelly, Ava Millner and Elicia Bryant finished in fifth place with a time of 3:59.79.
In the sprint medley relay, the team made up of Kayla Nobles, Olivia Cosby, Ava Millner and Leigh Wills came in first place with a time of 4:12.46.
Asheika Smith, Rainn Sheppard, Elicia Bryant, and Simone Kelly came in second with a time of 4:22.40 in the sprint medley relay.
•    The 4x100 relay team made up of Zaniah Field, Brianna Benloss, Charnessa Reid and Trinity Brooks came in third place with a time of 48.00.
•    In the long jump, Trinity Brooks finished 5th (16-9.75). 
•    In the triple jump, Trinity Brooks finished fifth with a mark of 11.04m and Lanyjah Gunter finished eighth (10.61m). 
•    Leila Henderson finished first in the shot put (12.83m), Kaylee Thomas finished seventh (11.13m), and Jazmin Terry finished eighth (11.01m). 
•    Leila Henderson captured second in the discus throw with a mark of 43.32m, Zion Cosby came in third (38.77m), Terrya Montgomery finished 12th (32.89m) and Alaina Moody finished 19th (30.40m).
•    Hammer results went Alaina Moody in 11th (34.02m), Zion Cosby 15th (25.68m), and Jazmin Terry 17th (22.87m). 
•    Javelin results went Terrya Montgomery in first (32.90m), Maeghan Wallace third (31.10m), and Kaylee Thomas 10th (21.28m). 

The Rams will participate in the VertKlassse Meeting on April 2 in High Point, North Carolina.
