RALEIGH, NC – The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (14-7, 11-2 CIAA) picked up another key Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) win, Saturday when the team took a 9-0 win over the Fayetteville State Lady Broncos at Lion's Park in Raleigh, N.C. With the win, the Lady Rams remain in second place in the CIAA Southern Division with their only conference losses coming to the CIAA Southern Division leading Shaw Lady Bears.
The Lady Rams clicked on all cylinders to take the win. The team opened the day with some impressive performances in doubles play as WSSU took all three doubles points. The WSSU junior tandem of Bianka Locklear and Kalin Jarvis had the most impressive performance as they took an 8-0 win at #2 doubles.
The WSSU dominant performance continued in singles play where the Lady Rams recorded a pair of shut out wins. Both Locklear and Jarvis also recorded 8-0 pro set wins in singles as well.
