Rams Open 2020 with a 7-0 Road Loss to North Carolina Central

DURHAM, NC – The Winston-Salem State University Rams (0-1) opened the 2020 season with some tough competition when the team took a 7-0 against the North Carolina Central Eagles, Saturday afternoon. Playing against a rival and an NCAA Division I opponent, the Rams gave a tremendous effort, but the team came up just short against the Eagles.

The Rams opened the team with an impressive performance in doubles play. The Rams opened doubles play with a 6-0 loss at #1 doubles, followed by a pair of 6-2 losses at #2 and #3 doubles to give the Eagles the doubles point.

In singles play, the Rams continued to show a great effort, but the team came up short. The Rams opened singles play with 6-0, 6-0 losses at #3 and #5 singles before taking 6-1, 6-0 losses at #1 and #2 singles. The team also took a 6-0, 6-2 loss at #6 singles before the match ended with a 6-2, 6-3 loss at

With the loss, the Rams open the season at 0-1.
