WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -The Winston-Salem State University tennis team gets their first win of the season defeating Livingstone in two matches Wednesday afternoon at the WSSU Tennis Courts.

The Rams move to 2-6 on the season after winning match one, (4-1) and match two, (6-1).

In match one, the double pairs of Shajada Barrett and Anthonia Smith, and Breona Young and Jericka Brodie won their sets. In singles, Shajada Barrett, Jericka Brodie, Anthonia Smith, and Breiona Young all came away with victories to help the Rams secure the match.

In match two, the double pairs of Brooke Higgins and Breona Young and Olivia Stephens and Jericka Brodie won their sets. In singles, Shajada Barrett, Anthonia Smith, Breona Young, and Jericka Brodie all picked up victories to help the Rams win match two.

WSSU tennis is back in action on Friday, April 15 taking on Johnson C. Smith at the Coleman/Cuthbertson Tennis Courts.
