WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -The Winston-Salem State University Indoor Track and Field Team had a great outing at the COROS Collegiate Challenge at the JDL Fast Track Lane.

Highlighted by Kennedy Alexander who finished first in the high jump with an NCAA qualifying mark of 1.68m (5'6"). Asia Lampe also did great in the field events finishing second in the shot put with a mark of 12.59m (41'3.75).

Running Events

• Daijion Lee finished first with a time of 26.33 in the 200m. Kelis Miller captured third with a time of 26.66.
• Janiyah Ross ran a time of 1:02.99 in the 400, while I'Sheondra Powell ran a time of 1:03.86 to finish in seventh. Taniyah Oates finished in 12th with a time of 1:05.46.
• Zynobia Ugbong ran a time of 2:49.75 in the 800m section.
• Tinasia Davis, Vanessa Jones, and Wynter Stample ran times of 6:10.69, 6:12.52, and 6:14.71 in the one mile, respectively.
• Amique Willis captured second place in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.18.
• The 4x400 relay team made of Daijion Lee, Kyla Houston, Janiyah Ross, and Amique Willis ran a time of 4:12.69 to get second place.

Field Events

• Also competing in the high jump were Janiyah Ross and Amiyah Murray who both finished with marks of 1.48 (4'10.25").
• Nia Hester finished with a mark of 4.51m (14'9.75") in the long jump.
• Jayla Warren captured third in the triple jump, 10.89m (35'8.75") and Kyndall Barrow jumped a mark of 10.59m (34'9") good for a sixth-place finish.
• Eriana Townes also competed in the shot put finishing with a mark of 7.94m (26'0.75").
