WILSON, N.C.- The Winston-Salem State University women's basketball team defeated Barton College 82-62 inside Wilson Gymnasium.
The Rams improved to (2-1, 0-0 CIAA)
Amaya Tucker led the Rams with 24 points,
Kennedi Simmons scored 18 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and went 4-5 from three-point line.
Tolisha Walker also scored in double figures with 10 points.

The Rams went 33-57 from the field and 6-13 from three. They scored 42 points in the paint, 17 fast-break points, and 23 bench points.
In the first quarter, the Rams got on the board with a three-pointer by
Amaya Tucker, the Rams took the lead with a
Taniah Wilkins jump shot 15-13 with 1:56 left in the quarter. Barton College edged out the Rams 19-18 at the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter the Rams went on a 7-0 run,
Kennedi Simmions made a jump shot which made the score 33-23 with 4:34 left in the second quarter.
Sierra Hunter made a jump shot as time expired, and the Rams went into halftime with a 43-32.
In the 3rd quarter, the Bulldogs cut the lead down to five 48-43 mid-way through the 3rd quarter.
Kennedi Simmions pushed the lead back to eight with a three-pointer 51-43 with 5:11 left in the quarter.
Christiana McLean made a jump shot at the end of the quarter giving the Rams the 60-45. This was in the middle of a 13-0 run which saw the Rams lead go to 26, 71-45 in the 4th quarter. Amaya
Tucker gave the Rams their largest lead of the game 76-47.
The Rams will be back in action on Saturday, November 18th hosting USC Aikens for their home opener inside C.E. Gaines Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
