WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Winston-Salem State University women's indoor track and field team is set to compete at the 2023 indoor Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA®) Championships at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on February 12-13.

The Rams finished in second place with a total of 123 points behind Fayetteville State last year.
Kennedy Alexander was named the Field Athlete of the Week after winning the high jump with a mark of 1.68 (5-06.25).
Vanessa Jones won the 1-mile race with a time of 5:41.82.

Kennedy Alexander was named the CIAA Food Lion Women's Field Athlete of the Week for week one. She placed first in the JDL Early Bird Invitational with an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark of 1.68 (5'6") meters. The senior also posted a time of 26.85 in the 200-meter dash.
