Jacksonville, NC — The Winston-Salem State men's golf team finished in sixth place in this year's CIAA Golf Championship. This is an improvement from last year's eighth-place finish.
Tyler Thomas was the Rams leading scorer with + 19 (78,78,79) 235.
Alex Chenard finished tied for 18th with a score of +11 (77,75,83) 235.
Ahmad Raoul finished 28th with a score of + 12 (87,80,84) 251.
Ivan Caro finished 32nd with a score of +87 (108,98,87) 303.
Fayetteville State won the CIAA Championship, Virginia Union finished second, Livingstone finished third, Virginia State finished fourth, Johnson C. Smith finished fifth, and Elizabeth City finished last.
During the tournament, the CIAA golf superlatives were announced.
The superlatives were voted on by the CIAA Golf Coaches Association and Sports Information Directors Association.
