WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Winston-Salem State University women's basketball team fell to Johnson C. Smith 62-52 inside the C.E. Gaines Center.
The Rams move to (7—4, 1-10 CIAA) on the season.

Amaya Tucker led the Rams with 13 points and three steals, while
Sierra Hunter finished with a double-double, 11 points, and 10 rebounds.
Jakaiya Mack added seven points and
Kennedi Simmons finished with five points.
How it Happened
In the first quarter, with the Golden Bulls up 6-2,
Sierra Hunter connected a lay-up making the score 6-4 with 7:21 left. At the end of the first quarter, Christana McLean made a lay-up making the score 13-10 Golden Bulls going into the second quarter. In the second quarter, going on a 5-0 run the Rams took their first lead of the game, on a
Alexandria Warren jumper making the score 23-21 with 3:14 left. The Golden Bulls finished out the half on a 7-0 run, taking a 28-23 lead into halftime.
In the second half,
Kennedi Simmons cut the Golden Bulls lead down to two points with a three-pointer, making the score 30-28 with 8:03 left in the third quarter.
Sierra Hunter made the score 39-36 on a lay-up with 2:47 remaining. The Golden Bulls took a 46-38 lead into the 4th quarter. In the fourth quarter,
Jakaiya Mack chipped the Golden Bulls lead down to eight points on a lay-up with 6:44 left.
