WINSTON- SALEM, N.C.- The Winston-Salem State University women's basketball team defeated Livingstone 68-62 in comeback fashion inside a packed C.E. Gaines Center.
The Rams improved to (8-14, 2–10 CIAA) on the season.
Amaya Tucker led the Rams with 22 points, which moved her up to the number two spot on the All-Time scoring list with 1,452 points.
Sierra Hunter added 10 points and four rebounds, while
La'Niya Simes chipped in with nine points and five rebounds.

The Rams went 24-of-50 from the field, 19-of-29 from the free-throw line, and 3-of-6 from three. The Rams grabbed 31 rebounds and scored 19 points off turnovers, 28 points in the paint, and 16 bench points.

Amaya Tucker three-pointer cutting the Blue Bears lead to 20-17 with 7:00 left. The Blue Bears outscored the Rams 14-9 for the remainder of the quarter taking a 34-26 lead into halftime.
In the second half, the Rams went on a 9-2 run cutting the Blue Bears lead to one point 43-42 on two
Tolisha Walker free-throws with 4:30 left in the quarter. The Rams finished the quarter on a 7-0 run highlighted by three made free-throws by
Amaya Tucker giving the Rams a 50-49 lead with 2:29 left. The Rams took a 54-50 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter,
La'Niya Simes extended the Rams lead to 11 points on two free-throws 66-55 with 3:48 left. The Blue Bears would score seven more points but the Rams escaped with the final being 68-62.
