WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Winston-Salem State softball team will play a home opener on Thursday, February 22 at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. against Mount Olive. Their next game will be up against Concord on Saturday, February 24 at noon and 2 p.m. Both games will be played at Twin City Ballfield.

Ram Returners:
The Rams brought back seven returners from last year's team, sophomores, Aniyah Jackson and Alicia Carrington, juniors Tymiah Wimbush and Malia Simmons, and seniors Taisha Bratton, Sierra Crocker, and Alea'ah Graham Seniors.
Rams Newcomers:
The Rams welcomed freshmen Jai'Nasia Baliey, Danisa Danasia Dupuy, and Jyla Thomas, sophomore TaKara Ware, juniors Miranda Wilson, Tyeisha Gist and BreAnna Steele, and Dayona Brandy during the off-season.
CIAA Preseason:
Taisha Bratton, Aniyah Jackson, and Sierra Crocker were all named to the preseason CIAA ALL-Conference Softball team. Overall, the Rams were selected to finish sixth and third to finish in the southern division.
Last Time Out:
The Rams went 1-4 in the CIAA/SIAC Challenge picking up their first win over Kentucky State on last Friday.
Scouting Report:
Concord is 5-1 this season in their last game they beat Virginia Union 8-5.
Mount Olive is 12-2 this season. In their last game, they fell to Wingate 4-8 and 4-11 on February 6.
