WINSTON-SALEM N.C.- The Winston-Salem State University women's basketball team will play in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Tournament Opening Round in Baltimore Maryland, on Monday, February 26th. The Lady Rams will take on #6 seed Bowie State University. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. inside CFG Bank Arena.

CIAA Preseason:
Amaya Tucker and
Kennedi Simmons were named to the 2022-2023 All-CIAA Women's Basketball Preseason Team Backcourt. Tucker is returning as the reigning CIAA Player of the Year. She finished last season averaging 15.6 points per game and led the Rams in three-point percentage with 40%. Tucker also shot 74% from the free-throw line. Simmons was second on the Rams in scoring, averaging 9.1 points per game. Kennedi shot 72% from the free-throw line.
