WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Winston-Salem State University women's tennis team hosted Livingstone College for a doubleheader on senior day.
Before the matches the Rams honored and recognized their lone senior
Gabrielle Pecina from Red Spring, North Carolina.
The Rams moved to 5-10 (4-2 CIAA).
How it Happened – Game 1
In doubles,
Brooke Higgins and
Kyla Burns, as well as
Briana Drew and Deziare Black-Macon earned a point as they won their sets to start the match. In singles,
Kyla Burns,
Gabrielle Pecina and Deziare Black-Macon all won their sets to help the Rams clinch the 4-1 victory.
How it Happened – Game 2
In doubles, the Rams earned a point with
Brooke Higgins and
Kyla Burns winning their set. Then in doubles,
Semmie Moore and
Gabrielle Pecina finished the deal by winning their sets and helping Winston take the 4-1 victory over the Blue Bears.
The Rams will wrap up the regular season on Saturday, April 20 at Johnson C. Smith. The match is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m.
