WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.- The Winston-Salem State University women's basketball team will travel to Athens, West Virginia on November 25, taking on Concord University. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. inside the Carter Center.
The Lady Rams will then travel to Wilson, North Carolina on November 29, taking on Barton College. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. inside the Wilson Gymnasium.

Series Information
Since 2015 this will be the fifth match-up between the Rams and Mountain Lions. WSSU currently leads 3-1, last time WSSU defeated the Mountain Lions 66-55 on November 12th 2022.

New Coaching Staff:
WSSU women's basketball enters a new era under the leadership of Coach Tierra Terry, no stranger to the CIAA as she was the head coach at Virginia Union. Coach Terry is also a graduate and former player for Winston-Salem State. She added coach Jessica Freeman and Dylan Anderson to her staff in the off-season.
Ram Returners:
The Rams brought back seven returners from last year's squad: sophomore Alana Biosse, junior Zion Dixon, and seniors Kierran Walker, Alexandria Warren, Jakaiya Mack, Chloe Williams and Jahmaria Miles.
Ram Newcomers:
During the off-season, WSSU welcomed in nine newcomers: freshman TaNiya Simms, Kloe Thompson, Taylor Simpson, Breonna Roaf, Amari Kilgore-Baldwin, sophomore Ah'Kiyah Pye, junior Nevaeh Farmer, senior Makayla Waleed and transfer sophomore Maia Charles.
CIAA Preseason/Polls:
The Lady Rams were selected to finish seventh in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) preseason poll.
Jakaiya Mack was named to the preseason team.
Last Time Out
The Rams defeated USC Aiken 64-32 on November 22. Makayla Waleed led the Rams with 22 points ,followed by Maia Charles had a double-double 16 points and 11 rebounds.

The Rams are led in scoring by Maia Charles averaging 13.7 points, followed by Makayla Waleed with 11.0 points and Ah'Kiyah Pye with 10.7 points. WSSU is averaging 69.3 points per game.
Concord University (3-1, 0-0 MEC)
The Mountain Lions defeated UVA-Wise 91-78 on November 22. Abbie Smith leads the Mountain Lions in scoring with 23.0 points per game, followed by Kenyah Stubbs with 16.5 points per game. Concord is averaging 83.5 points per game.
Barton College (1-3, 0-0 CC)
The Bulldogs defeated USC Beaufort 56-48 on November 22. As of November 22nd Layne Sleight leads the Bulldogs in scoring with 12.0 points per game, followed by Lauren Mingo with 11.3 points per game. Barton is averaging 55.5 points per game.
