PETERSBURG, Va. – The Winston-Salem State women's tennis team battled hard during the quarterfinals to defeat the Trojans of Virginia State 5-0 Friday afternoon on the campus of Virginia State.

The Rams took the first double points and clinched the singles point to take the match to advance to the semifinals.

WSSU fell to Shaw 4-0 to conclude its season.

Semmie Moore was named to the All-CIAA team.
