Tennis to Play Virginia State in Quarterfinals, Moore Named to All-CIAA Team

PETERSBURG, Va. – The Winston-Salem State tennis team will go into the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) tournament as the number three seed in the south and will face the number two seed Virginia State of the North on Friday morning of the CIAA championships.

The winners from the quarterfinal matches will advance to the semifinal matches slated to begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon.

During the awards presentations, Semmie Moore, a senior from Pickerington, Ohio was named to the All-CIAA tournament team for a third consecutive season.

Other award winners included:
Ekin Ozmen from Bluefield State as the Player of the Year, Nakari Blunt from Bluefield State as the Rookie of the Year and Tim Dunford from Bluefield State as the Coach of the Year.
