Winston-Salem, NC – Head football Coach Robert Massey is proud to announce the elevation of Isaiah McCain to the Rams Football coaching staff as the Defensive Line Assistant Coach.

The Rams also welcome back Jashan Rankin as the graduate assistant and linebacker's assistant coach.

Elevating McCain from defensive line assistant to full time coach was a no brainier as he brings a strong background in defensive strategy, player development, and mentorship to the program. A rising talent in collegiate coaching circles, he has demonstrated a passion for cultivating discipline, resilience, and technical skill in his players—qualities that align with the core values of Rams Football.

A football alum to the program, McCain previously served as the assistant to defense coordinator to Markus McElveen.

No stranger to the program, Coach Massey also brought back standout linebacker Jasahn Rankin to assist with the linebackers and work with the defense.
McCain and Rankin join a dedicated and experienced coaching staff as the Rams gear up for the upcoming 2025 season. Their appointment underscores the program's commitment to building a championship-caliber team through leadership, preparation, and a relentless defensive mindset.

The Rams will kick-off the season at the Red Tails Classic on August 31^st taking on Tuskegee in Montgomery, Alabama.
