#21 Lady Rams Roll Past Fayetteville State Saturday Afternoon

Winston-Salem, N.C. -  The Winston-Salem State University women's basketball team defeated Fayetteville State University 50-36, inside the C.E. Gaines Center.

The Rams improved to (19-2, 10-1 CIAA, 4-1 South) on the season.

Jakaiya Mack led the Rams with 11 points, followed by Navaeh Farmer chipping in with 10 points.

The Rams went 19-of-56 from the field, 5-of-19 from three, and 7-of-14 from the free-throw line. The Rams grabbed 45 rebounds, scored 22 points in the paint , forced 25 turnovers, scored 20 points off turnovers, and had 11 steals. 
 
 How It Happened
In the first quarter, the Rams took an 8-0 lead on a Ah'Kiyah Pye lay-up (5:56). A Jakaiya Mack three-pointer gave the Rams a 13-3 lead (1:47). WSSU took a 13-5 lead into the second quarter.

In the second quarter, the Broncos went on a 5-1 run, cutting the lead to 14-10 on a lay-up (5:38). The Rams went on a 6-2 run, taking a 20-12 lead on an Alana Biosse lay-up (0:11). The Rams took a 20-15 into halftime.

In the third quarter, the Rams went on a 7-2 run, extending their lead to 27-17 on a Ah'Kiyah Pye lay-up (7:43). FSU went on an 8- 0 run, cutting the lead 27-25 on two free-throws (3:41). WSSU closed out the quarter on a 7-3 run, taking a 

In the fourth quarter, the Rams went on a 14-2 run, taking a 48-30 lead on a Naveah Farmer three-pointer (4:38). The Broncos couldn't cut the deficit under 10 points.
