Indiana, P.A.- The Winston-Salem State University women's basketball team defeats Glenville State University 88-71, inside the Kovalchick Convention & Athletic Complex.
The Rams improved to 27-3 (14-2 CIAA, 8-2 South) on the season.
Nevaeh Farmer led the Rams with 22 points, followed by
Maia Charles with a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds, and
Makayla Waleed chipped in with 15 points.

The Rams went 33-of-77 from the field, 13-for-30 from three, and 9-of-10 from the free-throw line, grabbed 43rebounds, forced 20 turnovers, scored 32 points in the paint, and had 14 steals.
How It Happened
In the first quarter, the Rams jumped out to an early 10-0 lead on a
Jakaiya Mack lay-up (7:26). The Pioneers went on a 9-3 run, cutting the lead down to 13-9 (4:33). A
Breonna Roaf three-pointer gave the Rams a 21-14 lead going into the second quarter.
In the second quarter, a Glenville three-pointer cut the Rams lead to 24-19 (8:56). The Pioneers went on a 7-3 run, trimming the lead to 29-28 on a three-pointer (6:43). The Rams answered back, extending their lead 33-29 on a
Maia Charles lay-up (6:10). WSSU closed out the half on a 13-4 run, taking a 48-38 lead into halftime.
In the third quarter, the Rams went on a 6-0 run, taking a 56-43 lead on a
Makayla Waleed three-pointer (5:09). A
Nevaeh Farmer three-pointer extended the Rams' lead to 65-51 (2:51). WSSU took a 69-56 lead into the fourth quarter.
In the fourth quarter, the Rams' lead grew to 82-63 on an
Alana Biosse three-pointer (4:59). The Pioneers could not overcome a strong Lady Rams defense and offense.
