WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Winston-Salem State University women's tennis team battled throughout the afternoon but ultimately fell, 4-2, to Johnson C. Smith University in CIAA action at Hanes Park.
The Rams (WSSU) showed resilience in singles play, picking up two points, but were unable to overcome an early deficit after doubles competition.
DOUBLES COMPETITION
JCSU secured the doubles point, taking two of the three matches.
- WSSU's pairing of Mckinley Battle / Makayla Stewart competed closely but fell 3-6.
- Kyla Burns / Iyana Nickens dropped a 1-6 decision.
- The Rams earned a win by default at the third doubles position.
